Plumeria obtusa

Evergreen Frangipani

Frangipani Obtusa (Plumeria obtusa) is also known as Singapore White. The beautifully fragrant white flowers have a yellow tinge and glossy dark green leaves. This dwarf tree is also known as an evergreen species, and in warmer climates will keep it’s leaves all year. Reminiscent of a tropical island the fragrance of a Frangipani is unforgettable.
Deliciously fragrant large shrubs to small trees, Frangipani thrive in the warmer climates and flower from Summer through till Autumn.
In cooler areas grow them in pots against a warm masonry wall, ideally in a north facing position and ensure protection from frost. Once established Frangipani require little water but will benefit from regular watering in very hot weather. Keep plants dry in Winter in cold climates.
